took a trip up to booster's on oz day. found a couple of little issues that we sorted and filally got a reasonable number from it.
still have more tuning work to do. have still got issues with the cam sensor that i through i had fixed. the problem has moved up to about 9400rpm before it starts breaking down.
pumping in 6psi we ended up making 187hp at the wheel and 151nm of torque. we only put in 25 deg of timing so another 8-10 deg to go and we will spin it to 10000rpm that been the case we should nearly be able to crack 200hp at the wheel on the same boost as the power curve is still rising nicely.
i took it for a ride around the block yestrday and even tho it isn't tuned proberly and i only used about 20% throttle it felt like there was power a plenty. cant wait to get it tuned properly and finished so i can give it a good handful.
big thanks to booster for his help with the tuning
all in all a successful day but still more work to do

Very busy couple of days Deano, Yours and Bones bikes were both works of art, and a pleasure to be able to help
Funny how yours and Jo's hp were so close but the torque tells the whole story of rpm and hp and a few more rpm out of yours will make a big difference

hey maggot. is it just me or is OSS down at the moment. seems quite unreliable.
bout $2500AUD is retail but should be able to get a better deal. if you shop around.
once you have gone efi you wont look back. a few guys on this forum run the sm4 and have got brilliant results. worth the money thats for sure. will do all a motec will do for half the cost.
also be careful what you buy for the conversion as you could end up buying things twice like i did on a few things. if you want shoot me a pm and let me no what you are wanting/doing/have already got and i will let you no what i used and so on.

been awhile since an update but have now gathered a bit on intrest again as i think my shitty cam sensor signal problem has been fixed.
since last time i have got hooligan's old jmc arm so fitted that. i have a gix1000 wheel that i have machined to within an inch of its life to get to fit. it is getting prepped for a coat of aerosol flat black and therefore is not pictured
the rear shock that was in it was stuffed so grabbed the ohlins out of the race bike to stand in till i get a suitable alternative.
i have taken off the spondon clipons and just put on a set of std k4 600 clipons to improve the riding position.

the cam sensor is off a 6litre v8 that is in the commodores now days . it senses off the cam lobe as it comes around. it is a powered sensor so has pos, neg and signal terminals. so far it revs to redline with no errors but wont know exactly how good it is till it goes on the dyno but at this stage i am very confident my problem is gone. 250hp here i come.
also added a windowed ignition and starter clutch cover just cause i can

got the photo bucket thing sorted. and it even worked.
little bit of progress.
have made a full exhaust system for it.
put in a 6inch gix rear wheel.
put in a k8 or so rear shock
got some flat bars from exben (thanks again mate) and made some risers and a top triple for them. bottom triple still to come. cant finish the top triple till the slitting saw shows up.
made a radial res adaptor to a busted res that i had now it looks a lot neater than using a huge stock res.
have put on some braided lines on the front,. had a pair of 6inch longer lines hanging around. they will do for now but are too long as you can see.
thats about all.
now for pics.

Had to vent the wastegate into the main exhaust instead of running a screamer Pipe
http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z368/deano179/1073aeb4.jpg
The pipe snakes round the back of the main exhaust through a double slip joint and merging into the exhaust
The pipe is removable and can be capped off for a time where I can run a screamer pipe

I relocated the bov from above the plenum on the up pipe to the back of the plenum above the battery. Needed to do this cause the new fuel line occupy the space that the bob used to live in

So today is the day that I pull the bike down for final finishing. I wish that it was as easy as it sounds but there is a huge amount of work ahead of me to get it done. I hope to have it finished for motogp
We also had some dyno time at dyno dynamics a month or 2 back and we squeezed out 156hp (dyno dynamics horse power) at the wheel or 180odd hp in dynojet speak all on 5.5psi boost at 12.0afr

didn't film anything cause it is not the final tune. didn't have time to kick the boost control in the guts and i was fiddling so i am no expert therefore a tuner that knows what they are doing will take over the tuning once it is back together and coax the last remaining horses out of it.
then i will video the dyno pulls for you

Hi all.
Been a while since my last update. Thought I would give you a taster of what's been going on
The bike is now registered and passed engineers report. Brynn and i went for an official shake down ride tonight and so far so good. It goes like nothing else I have ever riden. The tune is pretty good. Couldn't fault it was nice to ride round town
I will be pulling the bodywork off in the next few days to let gibbo wave his magic spay gun over it and while that's happening I will be adding the final touches

This thing rides as good as it looks !!!! Meek and mild then at about 2.5k it spools up and wants to fly !!! 7 shades of awesome Deano. Handles really well too. For a shake down ride it inspired confidence and wanted to be ridden hard. Only down side, it made my little B12 seem pedestrian and I had to screw the tits off it to try keep him in sight. Serious bit of kit there mate, looking forward to seeing it line up at Heathcote.

well after an expensive last few months i can nearly say that stage 1 of this bike is complete.
the frame swinger and other little bits have been either powdercoated or painted,
all the steel bits and fasterners have been plated in zinc black.
i have brought matching brembo rcs19 clutch and brake cylinders with a set of 3 bxp res's
custom made hel brake lines.
billet chinky rearsets
sprint steering damper
new set of renthal flat bars
intergrated tail and indicators
new set of pilot road 2ct tyres
new chain and sprockets
i am sure there is more but that is all i can think of for now.
Big thanks to Gibbo for the paint. it is basically silver tinter with a very coarse metallic. looks great thanks mate. he also painted the wheels in a black to match the powdercoated frame. the 2 similiar colors in 2 different finishes tie in well i like it alot.
i took the bike to get tuned by a pro last wednesday. after a couple of tanks of fuel we were done. the tune is nothing short of amazing. after riding it beforehand with my basic tune in it and thinking it was pretty bloody good this tune is 10 times better. so dam smooth. manners that would put an oem efi bike to shame. the tuner seems to have done an awesome job. worth the money. i requested the tuner stay on the consertive side with the tune so we ended up with 190hp and 185nm on 10psi.
we have got gear based boost control with 5.5psi in first 7 in second and 10 for the rest of the gearbox.
the first time i rode the bike in anger was at heathcote on the weekend and the power delivery had me stumped. i was expecting to have the triples trying to smash me in the face. the wheel wanting to turn itself into smoke and get off the thing shaking my head vowing never to get on it again.
in fact it was the opposite. i parked it after 3 runs thinking it had issues and was down on power. it didn't feel fast at all. got back on an hour or so later and ended up running a 10.83 @ 132mph so it was making the power but i am amazed how so much power can be so usable. no wheel standing. no wheel spinning just forward thrust. may have a bit to do with the fact it is geared very tall and i am only changing to 4th as i am going over the line.
after than run i put the bike away as the chain adjuster is trying to turn in the swingarm and that is not cool.
