out to buy a new tacho with fuel level indicator, asked seller which bikes it can work with, seller answered it'd work with those bikes which sensor has 0-100ohm resistance [B)] is my guess correct, that most of the sportbikes have fuel level sensors with the same specs:0-100ohm[?] [8)] i give a damn which exactly model would fit coz i'll fabricate a fitting for it though i'd rather grab one without petcock like this beautiful one :):

They aren't all 0-100ohm, acewell sell universal level sensors that are 0-100 ohmhttp://s3performance.com.au/fuel-sender-with-waterproof-connector-acets-p-57.html

thanks Ben, the probs the bloody acewell sensor is top mounted i need bottom mounted i have seen on ebay lots of similar sensors from hondas kawas ducs etc, i believe that the same parts for different brands r likely to have the same specs? do u have any level sensor around (bottom mounted is a must) to measure its specs. i dont need to know how many litres r in the tank, just to be in a course when its full/half empty/dry [8D]

well after a bit thinking, they all must read 0 ohm when the float is down(closer to the contacts) so one can rewind the wire to get 100 ohm at the float utmost position [^]
