it seems to me i am having a bit of a honda thing is this normal ? or socially accepted ?

anyway with winter coming and the bush at the back door it was time for another dirt squirter this time i wanted an enduro that was road regoed and preferably a 2 tinger , i looked at rmx's and ktms but settled on a 99 CRM250ar in mint condition , its an import has auto lube for the fuel mix and a servo controlled powervalve which they call active radical , this gives low down torque and after a ride today it has suprisinly good pull down low 4 stroke like but it is over geared to the shithouse for the bush but this will be fixed as with the tyres as they provided nothing in the traction factor

motard wheels would be the shit [:p] hello hoon laws

If you haven't been here http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/international.do?country=AU do it! They have set price postage to Australia and postage costs go by dollars spent. We ordered 4 tyres and a few bits and pieces, got here in 4 DAYS!!! Michilen S12 fronts ended up costing $80 AUS delivered.

They also have a company that does road gear, haven't used it but if they're service is anything like ^^^ them I would recomend them......can't seem to find the link, it came up on the above website though.

Honda's answer to the modified CR250WMW Enduro built by Woody's from 84-97.They were "ok", until KTM decided to paint the market orange.Same with the YZ enduros built by sumkunt in QLD from memory. And those tyres are oem [:0]

well i didnt tard it (yet) as i wanted it for the bush , stripped it of its unwanted gear saving a bit of weight , some fresh tyres and changed the front sprocket , is great in the bush quiet torquey for a 2 tinger reminds me of a ktm300 but is still seriously over geared , standard its 14/42 ive put a 13t on the front but its gonna need a 48 or a 50 on the rear to make it a bit more user friendly in the tight stuff and cut down some of the speed in top , in standard trim i was flogging it up the tight bush track at the top of fourth doing 120 with 2 gears to go , i dont think it would have the gusto to pull well in top

well its starting to heat up again so the dirty goes back in the shed , but its been good fun and over winter this is some of the gear i chucked at it , now she looks the goods and goes heaps better thanks to the gearing 14/42 now 13/48

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1287305013.jpg

but this is my hurdle now look how big this thing is , is quiet as a mouse and im sure its plenty restrictive , aparently a 96 cr 250 muffler will fit but i havent had any luck finding one , DEP make a chamber and muffler set which i might have to go with but its 800 odd bucks and out of the uk , as soon as i can do that ill ditch the auto lube as its very rich with the oil , but also so i dont have to worry if the system packs it in and seizes the motor

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1287295956.jpg

so if anyone has a muffler give me a pm

then i was moving her around the shed the other morning to ride to work via the bush and the steering was notchy , and i knew what that was

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1288203846.jpg

and this is what i found all the rollers where in there but as soon as i dismantled it thay all fell out the top bearing , not good , but to be honest it feel fine up until the outher day and i didnt feel any play but as soon as i seen this i was like FARK thats not good

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1288253234.jpg

so new bearings on order and whilst its in pieces im going to remove the auto lube fuel mix and stiffen up the rear spring a bit as its soft as hell

I've got a 96 CR250 exhaust here, but it is VERY average! You can have it if you want.
