Fork tubes are as rusty as shit any suggestions other than just dumping it in the dam? or using a flame thrower? it looks like they are well and truly stuffed, and I can't imagine having them reco'd would be cheap...?

Molasis is the answer dude , strip them out of trippels and put them into a tub of molasis (get it from you local farm supply place will strip the rust off in a week or two ) then wash with hot water. I dont like the chances they 'll be much good but it will clean them up.

I have a fear that removing just the rust.. will leave me with nothing but some grips, an old tire, and a big ass mudguard, it ran a while ago tho -.. just took the back wheel off the thing and now that I'v moved house I have NO idea where the damn axle is for it.

Oh and I was thinking even just making sure theres a few inches of rust removed from the forks where it matters, then doing a roughie on the rest (rattle can) and 'she be right'
