Oil Cooler Guard

I just made a oil cooler guard out of some security mesh. I was going to silastic a little rubber stop at the top and bottom of the guard to stop it rubbing on the cooler and simply zip tie them on. Question is will the rubber be ok, do the coolers get hot enough to bother the rubber and will the zip ties be ok ?

Oil cooler shouldnt get hot enough to bother silastic really , i used to use it to seal up stuff on my mud bash buggy never had an issue there except for the exhaust noting got hot enough to bother it .

yeah zip ties and rubber will be fine
