The guy that dropped it did an endo, so when it came down it smashed the tail section and broke the dash and headlight mounts. i got the soldering iron out, stuck it back together, put in an SV tail light and went to the track.;)

Sounds like an easy fighter project there craig. Acewell dash, cheapo 'E' marked headlight and get a new tail and off for an inspection.

I will be there for the just bikes section, leaving at around 4:30 - 5pm and heading straight to work.

If I can - I'll be there, been putting it off for too long! Man.. I know all about "being a while" before anything gets started - it got to the point where I'd get a random email from someone on here along the lines of "when are we going to fucking do this shit and regain some of our self respect" LOL - that shit was funny

Hey Davo, long time no hear.

The new donk is getting there mate.
We've had it in for a couple of months but have been chasing an electrical gremlin ever since.
Finally got that sorted so off to the track we went.
Nothing serious with the 1st attempt, just REALLY fat & over fueled & stalled on the launch.
Quick trip back to the pits, carby & clutch adjustment & have another go.
Went out & went 9.44 @ 137mph on a real soft launch & also on & off the throttle a couple of times.
Heaps of potential, it was built to run 8.70's 7 with some good tuning & relearning how to ride it it'll get there no problem.

I doubt you need to re-learn how to ride mate, but those Aviator sunglasses are probly costing you .10 at least.Wheelie bar settings look spot on in the last pic,and the clutch stayed together...finally.
The 'ol man would be well proud.
Dez,why not racing mate? And where was the O-Kat,unlike him not to be there too,ah thats right...he was probly baking a Mutha's day cake.
Hope to be there next time.

HAHA, the sunnies are actually prescription mate, the eyes are failing me in me old age.
Wheelie bars were indeed spot on, even with the soft launch it carried the front wheel through 3rd gear.[:0]
Have also made a few other changes to the chassis & general setup of the bike so it is very different to ride than it used to be.
That & i hadn't been on it for 4 months.
Oh, & the clutch is now an MTC slider, won't be hand grenading that in a hurry & it has already paid for itse;f on what it's saved us in blown up clutches.;)
