repairable, stat write offs

any bike or any car bought before the 30th of september 2010,as a repairable write off can be regoed,even if you buy it on the 29th of september 2010,and you repair or fix it ,the rta must rego that bike car,even if you get it on the road after the 30th of september 2010 you can rego it just keep your receipt in a safe place,
example,,you bought your bike on the 29th of september 2010, you take it home rebuild it ,now its later then the 30th september 2010 you can get it regoed ,,,because you bought it before the 30th of september 2010,and if rego on any repairable write off lasps, more then 3 months ,it can be re-regoed, because you bought it before the 30th september 2010,most stat write off go to wrecker ,some will be crushed ,hey it means stat write offs should get cheaper so for parts hunter like us its a bonus

Yeah keen to see the source for this, my local RTA have been dicks about this whole thing, telling all sorts of different stories. Noone seems to know wtf is going on.

one of my good mates owns a wrecking yard ,,he was really worried about this as he fixes some of the repairable cars and bikes each year, we found a government web page that outlined the new law passed in parliment ,,hes away for 1 week but i,l get that link on early next week so you can all read it cheers
