These jobbies from Hong Kong look too cheap to be true. Has anyone tried one (there's a couple of sellers selling the same ones I think). For $50 landed, it's tempting...

Got one in my hand right now....
Ok for the money, the bracket isn't the best finish (rough sawn look to the edges). Each of the steps makes a difference to the feel of it....
No worse than the old, steel 'kawasaki' style ones.

yep. i never had an issue with the seller, item seemed to be of decent enough quality, its only a damper, not rocket science.

They measure up a bit shorter than my standard one (180mm body, 280mm shaft vs 220mm/380mm). Will they still work in the standard side position (1990 GSXR1100)?

nup, the hit the end of travel just before the steering stops kick in, but havin said that if u are at full lock riding along, u have other issues to think about. U should get about 6 months, then it wil shit the bed.
