Is the whole wheel moving or just the disc?
Change your wheel bearing while you have it (mostly) in bits, might be an easy fix might not but at least you know the bearings are good.

Are the disc carriers sitting flat on the hub? If there's shit underneath them they might be sitting crooked.
-
Thanks for all the replies. Im away for work for a bit but I'll do the bearings when i get back and go from there. I cleaned the rim where the carriers sit before I put on the new discs.

Has it had one of the holes for the carrier helicoiled? Some muppet not running the helicoil all the way below flush is a classic way to wind up with something not bolting down flush.

Chucked in the new bearings and it seems to have sorted it.
Also did the 4 degree ignition advance mod and the quick throttle mod. so much nicer to ride now.
Acewell started playing up yesterday though. the tacho was jumping all over the show then settled down when cruising at steady rpm but accelerate or deccelerate and it went nuts. Ill chuck a resistor on the signal line tomorrow and see if that settles it down

The arse-end looks 100% better being shorter, coming along well.

Can you fab a bracket so it mounts just inside where the subframe bolts to the frame ?
-
That's where the fuel tap and ignition barrel live so might be too tight. I could probably bolt it to the front of the battery box but even that might be pushing it for space

B-King Reg/Rec lives under the swingarm behind the motor.
The fin's face the rear tyre, I thought it would get a hard life but it seems OK.
-
That could be a winner. Just need to extend the wiring a bit
-
Battery box sorted and home found for reg/rec. now need to sort out where the junction box and ignition controller will live

Bloke with a smaller stick
The cowl looks great from the front view, but it needs to be positioned back closer towards the bars and forks.
-
yeah i initially wanted it further back but where it is now the bars only just clear at full lock.
If its angled up more at the front then it can move closer and still clear but then the lines don't match the rest of the bike. Just looks like it sitting up way too high
-
Moved the front around a bit so it sits a lot better with the lines of the rest of the bike now.
And picked up a set of these about 6 months ago. Took a few rides to get used to the throttle control to keep them happy but they sound soooooo awesome
-
Picked up a vfr gear shift lever too so its running a reverse shift pattern. Needed to remove the sprocket cover get the bolt in then chuck the cover back on but it shifts a lot nicer now.
And here it is hiding behind its big brother dreaming of ways to steal the supercharger
