How to make your photos smaller.

If you post photos on here that are to big the band width gets larger and costs the site more money to run.

You can help reduce costs by reducing the size of the immages you upload on to the site, and here is how to do it.

Select a photo in your files that you want to post.

    Like so.............................

Then right click onto it and you will see OPEN WITH, in the drop down bar and select Microsoft office picture manager.

At the top of the screen you will see a tab EDIT left click on that.

Then on the right of the screen you will see COMPRESS PHOTO

Now you will see 4 options to reduce the immage, click web page

    Now click save

And thats as hard as it gets.

Thanks for reading this and doing your bit to help keep the site running advertisment free.

My way is probably not the easy way, but it works too.

    Open "PAINT"
    click FILE, OPEN find pic.

What you see in PAINT is the size it will post as on a web-site.

Use "IMAGE" and "Stretch/skew" to resize.
All my digi-camera pic's i resize at 25% but others may be different.

When its the size you want just "FILE" and "SAVE AS"

To post stuff up i just....

    Browse,
    (find pic)
    Open
    upload now.
and cut and paste the "FORUM CODE"

Another way that works on all versions of Windows:

    Download "Image Resizer" from: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/D...powertoys.mspx
Direct link to the file: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

(It's from Microsoft, and is safe)

It lets you right-click any photo on your computer, or even multiple photos at once, and adds a menu item to the right-click menu that says "Resize Pictures" then pick 1024x768 and click OK... it makes copies too, so you don't lose the originals

OK, I found out today that the image resizer sen gave (that you can download from this link) only works for windows XP

If you're using Vista, you can download this version which is a clone of the XP one and works on Vista.
