    "Torque Sports" Fighter

Stemming from the MT-01 thread in the rides section, i have been having a think about yamaha calling the MT-01 a "Torque Sports"
bit of a gay name but thats beside the point.

i had a sit on the MT-01 at the bike show and liked it especially the size and height and seating position as i am 6ft3" and it was comfortable, but alas i cannot afford one.

Sooooo, lets put together ideas on how to make one using a big fuckoff jap aircooled vtwin, by big i mean 1600-1900cc multivalve with scope to turbo down the track.

the biggest drama i can see is finding a frame that it is going to fit in height wise, i thought about using the cruiser frame the engine would originally come in but its going to be all the wrong angles on the geometry and fat and heavy even with sport bike swinger and forks.

i had thought of using say using a gsxr/r1/zx/cbr frame with the lack of a cradle at the bottom would allow it to get in but then it may sit to low and not have enough ground clearance.

anyone have thoughts on the idea? besides just buying an MT-01

Material wise I run with the over cooked pasta\plasticine alloy used on early GSXR-750's, you know to keep the weight down...

what about a Buell tuber frame, with a swing arm mod and a decent USD fork setup.

Much easier, cut about 4-6 inches off your legs. Olskool gsxr or bandit with a v-twin, Plenty of bandits around wrecked for bits and no doubt cruiser motors.
