MAY 2014 SFOTM (ASF Streetfighter of the month) - Nominate Now

If you would like your bike to be entered in the MAY 2014 Streetfighter of the month poll, please add any photos below. We will choose 4 bikes for the month and try to make them on an even level of build cost or expertise. If your bike does not make it this month it may well roll into next months if the category suits more. The majority of enteries will determine the category list.

    RULES:

    • The photo must be of your currently owned motorcycle
    • The motorcycle must be owned by you at the date of submission of the photo (a bike sale should not be affected by the running of this nomination)
    • The motorcycle can be built / modified by yourself or a professional BUT must have at least some input by yourself into the build (i.e. you didn't buy the bike EXACTLY as it is and have just polished it.)
    • Photo should be taken during the month of nomination / submission (one month prior to voting) to get people off their arses and into the shed etc. Any proof of date should be photographed in case of dispute by other nominees.

    WINNERS:

The winner of each month will be awarded the bragging rights of being the first photo on the main banner of the ASF website, plus, if they will get "STREETFIGHTER OF THE MONTH" under their forum username in each post, plus they will go into the Streetfighter of the Year poll at the end of the year, PLUS they will be entered into the month they win for the ASF Calendar next year (if all goes to plan).

REMEMBER: ** Just because you've entered before, doesn't mean you can't enter again! Bikes are chosen in brackets each month (i.e. closely linked in one way or another) based on the volume we receive. This could be the month when we chose your category of bike, so enter it again if it didn't win last time! **

If that has confused you, ask away....

I'd like to introduce you to the HOONDA

Just finished and a big thanks to the always awesome Ben Shaw from Extreme Creations in Sydney Australia for all of his hard work and inspiration on it. Love riding it and can't wait to see what it'll run down the quarter.

    Some specs

    Garrett GT28 turbo
    Keihin FCR 39mm flat-slide carburettors
Extreme Creations billet plenum and intercooler piping, hand-finished
Extreme Creations billet top triple clamp
Extreme Creations custom billet Hoonda clutch cover
Dynatek DYNA2000 ignition system with boost retardation
    Turbosmart wastegate actuator
    Turbosmart BOV
    Goodridge HD clutch
DBR billet race rearsets from BC Performance

Late model Yamaha R1 rear shock (custom fitted)

would It be unfair to split this topic in 2 categories? Best self built Streetfighter ,and best Streetfighter. I mean "No disrespect" to anyone. I'm sure everyone would love to have a streetfighter professionally built, just seems to be a few good self-builds being out voted due to the above circumstances. And maybe entrants should also enter themselves rather than being entered...? Gota go now..Home and Away is on.

That is in the rules, but they tend to get ignored.

Actually Boxer is just being nice, he's put many hrs of work into his bike also, it was definitely not a cheque book build.

I am against shop built bike as much as anyone
but I would hardly consider marks bike a normal shop built bike.
His history and his involvement in the the build to me is a
natural progression of where I think he wanted to take this project.
I personally consider that bike a partner ship between mark and Ben. Easily
one of the stand out bikes in what is fast becoming the mundane around.
In saying that there seems to be some very intresting stuff
in the works or remaining unseen. All imo

How did I now my post would drag you outa the closet.like I said..no dis-respect to anyone. Its a sic bike. And Mark has numerous talents, hence my photo shop comment! Unlike that ZX10r turbo you built for the guy with a trophy wife and tiny penis. That was a cheque book build . I'm only here to keep things interesting . They will be talking about my comments at next months Rapid AGM, if they're not choking on cum.
