What I've Been up to for the last year, dirty honda fun

    Hi Folks,
realised i was banging on about people not being bike-focussed enough, but i havent posted up a bike pic in a LOOOOOONG time

So here is the lil beauty i bought last year

    just kidding
Trying to relive my misspent youth fanging around on the cbr250r i went and bought myself a zippy little cbr400rr

chucked some fresh tyres on it and have
been making a serial pest out of myself in medium/slow group at EC

she's a bit low though, tend to shower people in sparks most of the track

tyres all the way to edge front and back (never had a tyre all the way off the front before)

currently grinding knee+toes+footpeg+BRAKE LEVER through half the corners, in need of higher pegs asap

I Love the little 400's, used to have a vfr 4 and did the same thing through turn 1, peg, side stand and exhaust.
    Now, hows the TL?

i would love to have a fang on one of them. was a massive diffference gong from the 92 gix7/11 to a 04 gix 600 so something even lighter again would be awesome i recon.

and you can hold it flat just about everywhere i bet

Love it, i am fighting the urge to get another race bike......... got to many now but they are awesome fun, just able to flick it around and on rails, not masses of power but it can still make a big bike look slow in the right hands........
    What The...?

Thats the trouble with reality........not everyone participates

    it goes pretty good
i get stuck overtaking the same 600's all the time some sessions which gets frustrating

    but definitely good fun
its full power pretty much everywhere all the time
last trackday in november i was about to pull in due to overtemp when the session ended
but that was a 40deg day so not as bad as the TL used to be with its little radiator, had to back off at oran park once due to heat

its super-flickable and low. too low really. if i cared about it i would put a newer 600 shock on and firm up the forks
but for now i am happy to reset the peg height (they droop down at about 10deg, due to crashes i expect)
should help most of my scraping issues and let me get it over a few more degrees
    Rev the fucker!!!!!

Now, hows the back door after I punished you last night?
    Fixed it for you Chris

dont be scared to go up a group

you are better off being in the slower half of a fast group not the other way around.

and the faster the group you go in the better the other folk are to ride with and less crashes usually

    thats right mono
dont take it personally, due to the stupid 18inch rear tyre i had VERY limited choices i could get
i think it came down to a dunlop slick (its a long drive EC to not be allowed on if there are a few drops of rain...) or some alpha10's
    Rev the fucker!!!!!

its a good point Deano but right now without extra acceleration i would just be frustrated i think.
couple more days in med/slow on the little 400 to keep pushing my entry speeds for now

I always thought I recognised you Conrad.

You're like the chunky slighty tardy Casey Stoner!

Is that sparks coming from your bike in the second on track pic?
