Once again the Xmas drags are on at Heathcote Park Raceway. I met with Russell from last night to work out the finer detail an is as follows.
Gates open at !0AM
scrutineering to start at 11am
racing (practice/test/tune) from 12pm
we will be running a go-whoa in the middle somewhere
competition from 7pm till its won.
canteen and bar provided at the track. i have asked for it to be open 10am till late
oppurtunity to burnout a tyre on the burnout pad if you wish after racing.
camping included on the sat night.
this year we will be trying a different competition as suggested by Russell from HPR
it is Chicago Shootout and has been explained to me like this.
like bracket racing you nominate a dial in before competition starts
eveyone get 3 runs against anyone they want or lined up against.
points are awarded for a win. none for a loss
after the 3 rounds points are totalled, 2 riders will run in the final. there will be muliple riders on the same points so to find out the finalist it will go to a count back to the closest to there dial in. simple really.
unfortunately we have had a large increase in cost per bike from last year that has to be passed on.
to ride $130 PER BIKE and to spetate $40 PER PERSON.
now for the fine print.
strictly NO BYO & NO GLASS this is 100% not negotiable and applies to EVERYONE, so no bottles of any sort what so ever and no slabs, casks, kegs, metho. Cars will be searched at the gate and any booze/glass taken. if you are caught with any of the above dont be disappointed if you are asked to pack your things and leave, i can't stress enough how important this is to the future of the event. last year was a shit fight if it is not rectified this year there will be no next year Russ has made that very clear. if you are the offending person/persons that is the reason the event is not happening next year expect to be named and shamed. this will not be tolerated.
unfortunately due to the dry year the area is having the CFA have called fire season meaning that HPR insurance polcy states we are not allowed a fire or any sort of BBQ (but jet cars are allowed so please bring them along)
no nude burnouts when you have had a skin full.
tix will be sold at the gate. no prepayment needed.
it will be a great day as was last year. there will be plenty of racing to be had so make sure you have enough tyre for the day.
