    Tony Two Busa

Just picked up my new toy/Project bike.

    2002 Black / Blue Hayabusa.
    31,000k's, Service History,
    Double Bubble Iridium screen,
    Custom grips and bar-ends,
    Twin Yoshi cans,
2 worn-out tyres and light damage to right hand fairing lower.

Local guy from the Busa club, was getting the fairing re-painted
and sorting the tyre's out, but we did a deal where I bought it
as it stood without the jobs done, and without the rack/top-box
    that was fitted.

    Not 100% sure.
My 04 is brilliant but I want something silly to play on.
Unfaired or NOS or Dragbike or B-King or "Dodge" style, but NOT just another Ugly-Bus.
Its going to be cleaned and run around for a week or two to check it out, then see how I feel.

    Dodge's 185kg/199hp Busa [8D]

$10,900 with a safety cert done,
    (tyres just scraped through)
delivered, and with a tank of gas.

Seen cheaper, seen better, but I wanted to buy local
and the guy's in the Brissy Busa Club so its a bike i knew.

Yeah, your right Davo. It SHOULD go naked,

plus, if i go R6/SV rear subframe and tail I only need a tank to
have a spare set of panels for the 04.
Got loads of thinking to do first... wanted to keep the dash,
but its f*ckin huge and wont fit in a small bikini fairing,
Mmmm... and how to wire in new SV/GSXR clocks is beyond me!!

    TTB.

Yeah, its a One-off alloy tank.
I think it was made by John Williams at "The Tank Shop" in Scotland.
I remember reading it was only a couple of hundred pounds more than having ugly panels made to fill in under the stock tank.

Tony i believe the gsxr dash can be used , have to depin the busa plug and put the gsxr plug on or change the pin positions if the plugs are the same! Try asking on the US or UK busa boards as i have seen it done before!
Can't bring myself to take more than half the belly pan off mine, i'll be keen to see how it comes up in the flesh.
BTW that is the best colour scheme your playing with .

    Ha ha, thats me too!
I really like my 04, thats why I have been a boring b*st*rd and only done the Cans / Screen / TRE / Polished Rims / Bolt on crap etc.
For me, they are as good as a stock bike gets.
Took me a while to get this one, but now I can build anything I like knowing I have a stocker too.

Will look into the clock swop [8D] Thanks.

    Tony.J.

EDIT: Just had a spin across town to reregister it in my name,
It go's like a Busa should

Any noticable difference between the two Tony? Are the mechanicals etc identical?

Nothing Major, cam chain tensioner / computer for the injection / early model might have alloy subframe not steel / not much.

Rode both today, back to back. 04 feels smoother is a quieter motor but they both pull the same. You can tell which one your riding but I just put it down to 7500k's and new Pilots /Tri-ovals v 31,000k's and crappy tyres/ RS3Yoshi's

    Brissy Busa Club night tonight,
    amongst them were...
1st...Bills "King of Bling" lots of chrome,
    2nd...240 rear tyre / NOS / lots trick-bits,
3rd...ASF's aBUSa's Getto Turbo with its new paint.
Need to take a camera next time!

Ha Ha, thinking oh shit is that flame going to get any closer!

It was like is this sucker going to behave itself this time or try to buck me off again going down the strip!

Great choice on a fighter too Damo, Blades have always been a favourite, something about the frame shape that does it.
