I nominate an early (9am departure from Stu's)run up to loby via chain of ponds across to strath then back to loby then back to Stu's via old norton summit road.

Fark almost a disaster.
Started with a little oil leak and a lite rattle.
Well anyway the rattle turned out to be a cylinder stud that had unwound and rattled with the engine revs and therfore leaking oil outside the block eventually at a rate akin to a hookers infected minge.
while sorting that a problem with one of the followers was discovered aka a snapped bolt and stripped cover bolt thread.
All now sorted.
And the Saturday ride continues chaps 9am from my place

It was fun...... at least until a certain MECHANIC"S bike started to rattle......and then it was FUCKIN' HILARIOUS!!!!!!! I will let STU post up the incident (If he has the balls!!) but will give everyone a little advice if riding with him in the future "BRING SOME FUCKING TOOLS SO HE CAN REMOVE THE ACRES OF PLASTIC ON HIS BIKE SO HE CAN THEN FIX WHATEVER COMES LOOSE!!!!"

yes yes yes Mike so the APE camchain tensioner came loose.
The center bolt unwound and of course being a mechanic I was carrying no tools at all to fix it.
Luckily a house near by had some tools I could use to take the acres of plastic[:I] off amd wind the bolt back in.
Lesson learned on that one now mike, I have now put together a tool kit to carry on the bike to cover such happenings that wont happen again.

Mike you can throw that efe1230 about you were gone like a scolded cat , that was a awesome ride and thanks for showing the route to me.
Will be on it again soon and with my tools this time just incase someone else needs them

What a bummer !!! That'll teach me not to look at the site for a while. Its my fault I missed out. Although I have been in reno mode lately and most everything else has taken 2nd place. I would love to have seen Mikes EF. I havent seen that thing for years. It was the old Lee Munro bike, wasnt it ? Ive got 2 EF's myself. One red fully faired and one blue unfaired. My Katana starter motor shit itself on the start of a Katana Klub rally 2 weeks back. It was an over nighter and we had lots of stops on the way. And I had to push start the big old thing every time ! You dont realise how heavy these old GSX's are till you gotta push em every time. I want to catch up with you Stu before you leave though, to say farewell, bonvoyage etc.
Sorry I missed the ride and drinks.
