    Any Port Augusta ASF members?

    Hey there,

    Am working out my trip route and my lans thus far have me camped in Port Augusta on the night of 30 Oct. I expect to arrive in town around 5-6pm.

    Make sure your bike and belongings are well secured. Port Augusta has quite a colourful reputation. No doubt you'll understand what I mean when you see some of the towns inhabitants. Good luck.

    Port Augusta? Isn't that where Prince Charles went for his honeymoon?

    It's the furthest you can get up Spencer's Gulf

    Im travelling from Brisbane to Perth for work. I will have chains running through wheels and chaining bike to the trailer during the night lol... thanks for the warning.

    Thanks mate, but got Family going with me too... Wife, kids 10 and 6 and 8 months old. Might be a bit much but thanks for the offer.

    No worries Jarrod,if you get into any difficulties dont hesitate to call. Oh yeah if you get the chance you have to do Horricks Pass on your bike,it starts at Wilmington and ends about 30k of nice twisties later,worth it.

    hmmmmm maybe I should go for a ride when I get there... you avail for being a guide lol... will have to see how I feel after the days driving...

    Another of our haunts is from PA to Quorn through Pichi Richi Pass,about 40k of reasonable sweepers,you dont want to be out there after dark though .
