CRAFTy lids are coming... **UPDATE 18 OCT**

OK ladies!! It's taken a while - but finally they're on their way!
We're in the process of having a complete manufacture run (hundreds!) of CRAFT RX-6 EVOLUTION lids made to AS 1698 & AS 1609 standards - all just for you lot!!
There will be black, matt black & chrome available as well as tinted & chrome visors. For all the technical details have a squizz here -
    http://ausfr.com.au/craft.asp
RRP is $549 for the 2 blacks & $599 for the chrome. The first 50 buyers will also receive 10% off the above prices!
Sizing is all standard sizes - as per info at the link above.
Quality is top drawer - as anyone who saw mine on the April Fools Run can attest to! These lids are dead comfy and all soft n snuggly inside!![^][^]
Do yourself a huge favour & support the business that's trying to grow Streetfighters in Oz! This & Straightliners has cost me a packet, so make sure you get behind it or we won't be here to organise this sort of thing![8D][8D][8D]

What's the fit like? I tried on the AGV stealth helmet, but the cheek pads just weren't right, but shoei's have always been fairly comfy for my head. And how soon, 'cause I'm looking for a new lid to go with my (almost)newly returned licence.

    Hi Quickdraw.

Just a suggestion, if you have a helmet some of us can try, it would help. Helmets vary from person to person and different manufacturers have differnt fits. For instacne, Suomoy and Shrk fit nicely for me..... Anyway, just a thought.

Oh, by the way, VERY VERY interested in 1 x chrome... Just need to know how it fits...

We're looking into having 1 retail outlet (bike shop) in Sydney (ben?), Brisbane (we've got a couple of options..)& Melbourne (?) where guys can go & try/buy from - but we do realise that not everyone is in one of the cities, are they[?][V]
Because of this, on the web the lids will be offered on a 100% satisfaction guarantee [^] - that is, if you get one & it's the wrong size then you can send it back & we'll send you the correct one free of charge [:0](obviously pending stock..), or if you get it & find your hideously deformed head simply won't fit into it or don't like it for any other reason you can send it back for a full refund. Obviously the lid will need to be in an as new, re-saleable condition (no nits or scabs left inside [xx(] & all plastic/tags still on please!), so people aren't going to be able buy one, wear it for a few days & then send it back - that'd just be stupid!
I genuinely believe in the quality, finsh, comfort & looks of these helmets & I reckon that the guys that have had a good look at one will agree...[^][^]
Oh, and as for fitting various peoples heads - has anyone actually asked the Simpson owners on this forum how comfy THEY are?!?! I think most of those fall into the 'suffering for their sport' catagory!! The RX-6 has been designed as a genuine road helmet that can be worn for hours in comfort - not a minimal drag helmet with next to no padding.....
The manufacture time is 16 - 20 weeks, so we're hoping to have them here by the start of October...[8]
I reckon I could've fit a few more smilies in there somewhere, too, if I really tried!

Good lookin Brain Bin bit like the old Simpson Helmet.
Don't suppose you would supply me with one for racing if
they are approved for it so that people get to see it around the
race track and I'll put ya stickers on the Race Bike
No seriously very good helmet how do they fair up in cold
    conditions in regards to fogging.[?]

Thanks for that FIMP. I don't know about the bit about the long oval head bit, though - I've got a 'long oval' head (no jokes, ya scunners!) & mine fits me just fine!! But anyway, there ya go - from an independant source - low noise, good fit, good build quality - what more can I say?!?!
And all you guys who keep repeating that you're keen to try one on first - there's no need to panic - I KNOW YOU NEED TO TRY IT ON TO FEEL SECURE ABOUT FORKING OUT FIVE HUNDRED SQUIDS!! RE-READ THE POST!!! YOU GET A SATISFACTION GUARANTEE!!!

Stu Mate did you get my Email about Extreme Performance in Brissy being interested in the Crafts? Have you got an ETA on delivery mate?????

Stu let me try on his Chrome Craft Lid at Bike Mania here in Brissy. It was fukin tops! I went and bought (dont worry Stu ive still got the Craft fund to one side My Nitro is Buggered) a KBC VR2 last week and the Crafty is very similar fit but the Crafty felt more cushion like in the padding quality - VERY comfortable. Awesome padding and shape - Very solid lid

Thanks for that bit about the kbc vr2, Boh. I've tried one of those too, and found it similar to the shoei's and my current hjc (all the same company i think). Can't wait to try a craft, stu.
