'04 GSXR shock into 89 GSXR frame

i just put my 04 gsxr 1000 shock into my 89 750 frame if anyone wants any info im happy to help ...

Looking good mate! I'm interested to see how easy this mod was...

Was speaking to a guy I know who's heavily into suspension, he was saying it would be quite beneficial to fabricate a heat shield for the rear shock, coz as we know as the oil in the shock heats up it becomes thinner or less viscous if u like, and as a result your shock wont work properly after a while... I'll be doing this for sure!

Hey Ozkat, this is a long shot but have you got a swingarm pivot locknut tool? You know, the four pin socket looking thing to undo the outer lock nut with the four slots in it? I'm probably going to have to go the hammer and screwdriver method but I wanted to do as little damage as possible as the thing hasn't been undone in 15 years! By the way, I'll have that cooler and pipe system to you pretty soon and I'll give you some money for that can.

.........actually, in the time since I wrote that I got the shits with it and introdued it to Mr.Cold Chisel (and I don't mean Jimmy Barnes) and it's now off, so scrap the special tool request, the rest is still on though (exhaust and cooler etc).
