Heya mate, welcome to the forum, are you down in Albion park? I'm in Dapto
Yer rod185651 yer I live in Ablion Park.
welcome bd.
Stripped just need a bigger spanner to remove swing arm.
Then decide what colour to paint it.
Do I need to locktite any certain bolts and does anyone have torque specs for bike.
Nice progress mate, are you going to powdercoat the frame?
Yes, you need to use loctite, torque settings will be in the workshop manual.
Yer thinking of doing the frame and swing arm and a few other smaller pieces satin black as I can get it done for a good price.
Do I use a mild locitite or a strong one?.
just use a non hardening loctite,,,,you dont want it to fall apart while riding ,,,but you also might need to get it apart to change things,,

I have stripped bike and now was wondering what is the best way to clean engine for paint.
How do you get the roller bearings out from the bottom of swing arm where the rear spring was.
you can always paint the frame and swingarm that way you dont have to remove bearings
I thought of that but I would like to repack bearings and powder coating can take more of a knock.
If I was to paint do I have to do much to prep frame and swingarm.
Welcome Reece, Ive got a 95 7/11 now, but did start out as a fighter 750. I did rego the bike in stock trim before the complete rebuild started. Its much easier for the NSW blue slip that way. Then go nuts and pull the beast down. Just hang on to some vital parts though just in case.
As for the top clamp, drill it but measure twice on everything, you dont want the bars crossed up while riding straight if you get what I mean!

K7 750 German Style (under construction)
I can't decide what colour to do bike in so was wondering what people think as you might think of a colour I haven't.
I am looking at powder coating frame and swing arm and bit's and piece's satin black and maybe rims.
I know it's my own build but at a stand still as I don't want to have to do it twice.
to powdercoat frame etc you will blast them to paint you treat them like anything you paint and also if you scratch or chip p/coat its a pain to pull everything off and start again with paint you can touch up and happy days .as far as a colour for your bike its a very personal choice and choice is unlimited these days its one of the biggest pain in the ass decisions you will make but it makes a bike and if you get sick of it its easy to have a change and not that pricey.
Thanks pav69 would you recommend painting it in 2 pack as I have a mate that knows someone that can get it done if not for free pretty close.
