Bloke with a smaller stick
Biggest problem I found with sucking type brake bleeders is that they tend to suck air from around the threads of the loosened bleed nipple. I have an air boy version of this that runs on compressed air and now I don't bother connecting it up to the air supply unless I can put some grease around the nipple thread to stop it sucking air through the threads

You can use the teflon plumbers tape around the nipples (sounds nice....)
And just get a syringe and a piece of clear tube and save yourself about $50.

Is teflon tape resistant to brake fluid?
-

most teflon tapes are pretty good with chem
but my advise is stay away from the white tape its shit for norm work pink tape heaps better
when i do acid i use yellow gas tape with gas goo but there are spec tapes for chem use but harder to find and cost lots more
eg green oxegen tape.
btw the way im still a fan of the old clear contaner part full of old fluid and yr hose into that and just takeing yr time
and just a ? do many of you boys still flush lines with metho when changing fluid, its the way i was shown and i still use it

Teflon tape is OK on the bleed nipples because it's not part of the "system". You wouldn't need to use it on the lines anyway.
