Started tonight..
When i bought the zx the plan was to fighter it, but i decided i liked it too much as it was. Since ive been racing, im kinda over clipons for the road(and an incident involving forgetting about race shift tapped out in 2nd on the back wheel, click 3rd "wait thats first, fuck" resulting in busted fairing stay, cracked plastics, and rooted head stem bearings), bike is due for a service so i thought fuck it, bust out the grinder!
Currently i have a blank canvas kinda thing.
I've stripped the bike back to the frame, wheels and motor, piles of shit all over the place!
The plan:
From the front to the back..
chopped front guard,
twin headlight setup, 2 oval spotties one above the other
mx fat bars,
braided radiator hoses,
mount dash somewhere, possibly to the tank(yay for bog!)
recover seats,
re-do all the arse end, not too sure yet,
paint, polish, add shiny stuff and spiky stuff, shorten, lengthen, chop, fuck up, fix, maybe fuck up again..
Hopefully will end up with something half cool!
I'll do some progress shots as i go, trying to dig up a couple of before pics at the moment, managed to delete a heap of stuff off my computer including them.
Got a subframe, tripple clamp, engine covers, radiator going to the painters on friday hopefully!
