I used to do some pit crew work for a mate who was racing in the RB Clubman 400cc series, and I met Josh when he was 18 and using the RB series dates to get some track time on his Fireblade when he was racing locally (you can basically run anything when the track is booked and the teams in higher classes always use the lesser class track times, it helps those lesser classes afford the track time).
Frank Pons and Josh shared our pit at Oran one time. Hell of a decent young bloke and you could see he had the fire to take him places. Great to see him realising that potential. Can't believe he had a crack at IoM, but he did come across to me as a 'you only live once' sort of dude :)
he was terrific at last yeard IOM fastest new comer to the island..and broke down in the senior he's back again this year
