Tyre destroying, mad bastard menace
2001 Yamaha R1 fighter
For sale is my Yamaha R1 Streetfighter. The bike is based on a 2001 YZF-R1 which was purchased from the auctions as a repairable write-off over 3 years ago. The bike was then repaired back to stock and put back on the road and it was used as such for a few months until I got bored. The bike was then stripped down and the project began. The bike has been a labour of love for me and I will be sad to see it go, but it has to go to fund my latest project bike that I am building.
I will do my best to list all the modification that have been done:
• Custom paintwork - Ford Focus Orange with a black overlay on a crystal effect
• Frame and s/arm Powdercoated
• Custom headlight with a custom headlight bracket manufactured
• LED indicators (front and back)
• Polished wheels
• ABM wavy discs (front and back)
• Billet brake levers
• Billet rearsets (with custom heel guards)
• Custom radiator guard
• Black crash knobs
• Single seater (comes with pillion seat as well)
• Custom Stainless Steel undertray with LED tail light (comes with original undertray and tail light for RWC)
• Shorty Yoshimura exhaust on a custom bracket
• Billet brake reservoirs (front & back) from BXP
• Fatbars
• Hel Braided brake lines
As long as the bike sells for the asking price I will sell it with Rego untill Oct 2013 as well as a RWC.
Please be warned that no test rides will be allowed unless you give me a bank cheque for the full amount of the bike as accidents happen. The bike looks good and rides even better.
Bike has just had a full service done to it > Oil, oil filter, spark plugs, coolant as well as I have just had the carbies cleaned out in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Any questions, just ask
Asking Price is $6,500

It is, but I have run out of cash for the Gixxer. I had all the money put aside for the project, but then my mum got ill about 6 months back and i flew back home for a couple of weeks. Cost me about $4k, so now I have sell so that I can finishe the Gixxer off.
Been a great bike to have and I will def miss her
