    Hey Kev, it's pretty simple - just gotta get the engine clean. All I did was;
    - remove engine and leave whole plugging all inlets/outlets
    - hit it with some degreaser (truck stuff) and let it sit for a bit then blasted it with the high pressure cleaner
    - mixed up some more degreaser and grabbed a scotch brite scourer and went over the engine getting into all the small spots
    - light sand over any parts that might be chipped or flaking
    - remove/tape anything you're not painting
    - let it dry off, then went over with some prepsol (wax and grease remover) and wipped dry with clean rags
    - hit it with one coat of VHT primer to get a decent bite on the original paint
    - 3 coats of paint with a 10-15minute flash time between coats
    - chuck some heat lamps around it and you're done.

    The heat lamps are important cause the VHT paint doesn't reach full hardness until it's been heated - easiest way is to have the engine run but not if it's not in the bike .

    With VHT it may take a while to cure properly. I did about 200kms before I stopped smelling the paint every time I ran the bike. But it lasts good.
