G'day mate. there what sort of riding are you looking at doing, two groups do a night ride on wednesdays and thursdays and another that dose a ride on sunday mornings, they are a little more serious and can so some big rides in a day.

i occasionaly do track days at the drag strip, for fast runs and stunting but they are not regular

Plus I keep thinking that I am going to sell it but I never get around to it and then I decide that I am going to do more work on it and never do. It is a viscous circle. I should have the new shed up by mid March then I will at least have somewhere to work on it. It still really needs USD forks and the tail unit needs work. I am a bit over the matt black at the moment as well but I am not too sure what to do with it.

i now have an srad that is marked for the fighter treatment, but first i have to get it through a wovr inspection, not to much to that but money is a bit tight at the moment. just need a fairing (right front lower) and paint job (once i get the fairing) and it is ready to go.

it will be getting an 03 R1 tail unit once it is registered. :-)

Clive you shouldn't need any fairing because when I did mine it didn't have any on it. Are you taking it through Manheim Fowles on Ingham road?

you don't need fairings to pass a roadworthy, jus can't have any brackets/sharp edges facing forward. it also won't pass if he fairing is cracked or broken.

Nope doesn't need to be back to factory. They are only checking to make sure that it isn't put together with stolen parts. IF you read the fine print they will tell you that it doesn't even certify the repairs as safe. I think when I did mine it was $300 but I certainly didn't have any fairings on it and on a couple of parts I just dowled them back together and put a bit of metal putty to fill gaps and painted it up.

For you townsville lads. My bike needs someone to look at the wiring under my dash (get rid of it ) any ideas on good auto elecs for bikes. Do you know much about RHD in Aitkenvale. He is a trumpy specialist i think.

RHD is an harly/european specilist, mostly into crusiers etc, they do a lot of hidden wiring on harleys etc,

used to work for Bruce as a mechanic at ormsnell when he was workshop manager there, and also work for him on occasions at RHD.
