so on the way back from NFR I turned off the hume onto the Illawarra highway to finish this ride. Heart started racing a little bit to be honest.
The section of road is now smooth tarmac instead of concrete covered with tar snakes, and it has giant concrete barriers separating the lanes.
After my corner, i went down the mac pass, through to scarborough, through the nasho, and home again.
5 years has got to be the longest kangaroo valley loop ever.

So was it the concrete you played with or the armco barrier? The photos are all missing from the start of the post...
Into the armco - the concrete barriers weren't there until after my crash. i crashed on the inside lane, and slid out to the outside lane and into one of the steel posts. The post broke my leg, but stopped me flying off into the air. I was coming from the opposite direction to the way the MT09 is facing in the pics.

Ahh yes, that looks like how I remember it. Bugger. Nice corner as well!
You do know there's a topbox on your bike don't you?
can't see it when I'm riding.
And I have a mounting plate that is bolted to a spare pillion seat for the Vfr fighter, too. If you had come to NFR you could have seen it and made fun of me in person, TK.

I remember this acco. Didn't know it was someone from here.
That part is much better now. Those tar snakes were a pain in the ass. Not sure what was worse them being hot and mushy or cold and slippery.
It was even worse when the bridge had a timber deck! The fucking thing was as slippery as a butchers prick rain, hail or shine!
If I had a dollar for every time I thought about you, I'd start thinking about you
Hooli is officially the Aussie Iron Man lol
Nudie showed me where this section is!
Not sure whats worse slamming in to concrete or being shredded by armco.
Oh well its good to see you finally made the trip past again, I still get a bit edgy going past my scene and that was done in '82!
