    As I said earlier, I was talking to Bill at the Alpine Hotel about catering a dinner for us on the Saturday night. Thought It would be easier just to cut and pace what they had to offer. So the following is an email of what Bill sent me.
    Let me know if everyone is keen so I can book a table for the 16 of us.


    Hi Rod,
    Just a line to let you know that I’ve just spoken with our chef and he feels that for a group of 16, we can go with a rump steak, fresh vegetables and potato bake with your choice of sauce (pepper, dianne of mushroom) and a slice of cheesecake for $20per person.
    Should keep all the boys happy after a long day riding!

    Sounds good but timing might be an issue for me at this stage.
    I won't be able to leave Sydney till at least midday on Friday, so at the very least keep one steak warm for me!

    ill have that rod ..i reckon to be in cooma about lunchtime friday [i wont be stopping in canberra unless requested to ..]i can get all the way on one tank of gas easily so ill be doing it in one go..remember guys ill be behind you so keep the number handy

    Managed to arrange to get back from work early on the 13th so we'll be leaving at night on the Friday. Depending on how late we have to leave we might just stop at Canberra and get some beers in there.

    Assuming you'll all be mildly fucked up as a minimum on the Friday, we'll still hit Cooma ready to meet you and get stuck into the mountains on Sat
