Hey lurch, what time are you leaving Gladstone?
Hey lurch, what time are you leaving Gladstone?
Ladies and Gentelmen, take my advise. "Pull down your pants and slide on the ice."
Not 100% sure. Was gonna drop in to Gladstone Motorcycles on Friday to see what time the group leaves. Check in at the Mango Tree is 1230 so would prob be aiming to arrive at Agnes about then
Couldn't book anything untill now, Got a free trip to the races in
Sydney and needed to find out the dates first, turn's out its not for
a couple of weeks. Mango Tree and several other places are booked out
for the Saturday night (just realised its "Schoolies"...DHOOOO!!!!)
Bugger.
Had to book something a bit flash instead....
See ya there Boy's.
Tony and Sasha.
Look out schoolies, here come the toolies. Supercharger, myself and a couple of mates are staying at Bribie island Friday night. Super tells me you all met at the Ettamogga pub last time. Si and a few others are leaving Nerang Maccas at 6 Sat morn so 8 at the pub would work out well. Does anyone know which way we are going? If you are not going past the pub let us know so we can meet you somewhere. Hate to put the pressure on you Tony, but what are your travel plans?
Last year we went Highway all the way. Boring as F#ck but was Sasha's 1st 500k+ ride,
ended up arriving about 2pm. Came back as far as Bundy before we hit the highway,
then got off again at Gympie and went Kennilworth/Malaney/Woodford/Mt Mee/Samford/City
and was only a few K's further but much more fun.
No set plan's. Depends on the weather. We are normaly up at 5am for work so might set off
real early, miss the traffic, and have a lazy ride up, stop for breaky and lunch etc.
Can't get the Beach house key's untill 2pm.
Its only about 550k's from Bayside, so not a drama for us.
Should have added, we are going up Friday, back Sunday.
Alway's try and make 1770 / AFR etc into a long weekend.
Ettamogga pub is a good meeting point for the coast guy/gals an brissy crew to meet up how ever not sure if you want to meet at a fuel stop. I think you can get fuel there[?].....the 8 o'clock sounds good though
Saturday morning here ?? 8 am ??
I'll see you guy's up there. Mono, I think we will be athe park next to maccas in gladstone around 9am till 11am so I mite try catch up with you guy's. Were booked at the Mango tree so will see you all there...

Bob - I go past that park from my mates place towards town, I'll keep an eye out for you. If you want send me your mobile no and I can text to let you know when the ride is leaving Gladstone
Sweet, 0402 522 652. Will be at the park with my inlaws kids.

So 8am at the Ettamogah it is then. we're meeting at Nerang Maccas at 6:30 as far as I recall. We may be a little late as that's what we do best. We're booked at the Mango Tree (Me, Killers, Brad and Mojo).
Started cleaning the bikes, kept finding shit loads of stuff wrong and job's I should
have done. Stopped cleaning and came back in the house. Problem solved...[:I]
Sasha absolutley can NOT get the time off work, so her sudden mystery illness is
due to get worse as tommorrow go's on...
(she's already plotting at which fuel stops she's going to swap bikes!...
GIX11- I think we might want to leave at 6 from maccas nerang if we are gona make it to the ettamogah pub by 8am.
What do you think?
Nerang to the pub is about 160k's.
Thats only about 45 minutes ehquote:Originally posted by Tony Nitrous
Nerang to the pub is about 160k's.
From the Ettamogah pub you can cut inland (as Si did on the 1st run)
Up to Malaney, Kennilworth, Gympie. It has a few good sections.
If you coming from Brissy, then Samford Valley, Woodford, Malaney, Kennilworth,
Gympie isn't much further than sitting on the boring M1/Gateway.
1 more sleep.....
Hey lurch & Bob, the glady boys are leaving from Gladstone Motorcycles @ 12-12:30. (54 Toolooa St) Just look for the chrome or orange paint work!quote:Originally posted by lurch
For us it's Toowoomba to Gladstone Friday and maybe join the Glady boys on Saturday for the ride down. Looking forward to finally meeting a few other members. Looks like it's gonna be a warm one!
fuzz will be on the back roads (unmarked too!), for it's schoolies!
We, I think I can find it.

Cheers for that
If all goes to plan we can swing by the park and you can follow us. Mrs wanted to leave earlier before it gets hot but I'm trying to talk her roundquote:Originally posted by Bob
