    More Acewell problems SOLVED

Got the re-wiring done ok...but now the tacho is back to its old tricks...erratic reading...fluctuates between 300 and 1100 on tickover.
I have tried a direct wire from the pulse on one coil via the resitor but still no joy...checked the resistor on 2000K scale and it reads about 800....Checked my old thread and I have wired it in exactly as before...
Could the resistor be faulty ??

Forgot to ad..I am now running Dyna coils...could this affect things ?

Spoke to <s>God</s> Ben. Did has he suggested...3 times around HT lead but still eratic.
Gonna get a new 1000K resistor tonight as well as a few othe sizes....Its behaving exactly like it did at first before I put in the resistor...
I'm wondering if the Dyna coils are drawing a much bigger load and thus affecting it....more resistance might do it....

Its a pain 'cos its running better but I need an accurate tacho to help with the carb tuning.

Got it sorted...Appears that having Dyna coils requires an extra 500K resistor probably as I said above...the extra current draw.

Bigger spark, bigger pulse, more interference, Makes sense. One for the memory banks.
