    95 gixxer alt problem?

Hey fellas, mate of mine has a 95 1100, just told him about the site so he should be joining soon, anyways he had problems with his alternator so he put a new one in an it is putting out a 15.4 reading he is worried about frying things, tried a new rectifier with same reading, is it too high[?]
    cheers, GK.

I too have struggle with regulator problems on my GSXR 1100 based race car. It seems to always want to overcharge. I have change regulator on more than one occassion but never really solves the problem. It kills batteries in a fairly short time.

Had the same symptoms on mine, 17V charging and cooked a battery.
Check the big black connector under the seat from the altenator to the battery, for corrosion or any signs of heat.
Once it gets hot and starts to melt up goes resistance and voltage.
I found it AFTER I fitted a new regulator.
