Well it is an RR and yes worth it only made a handful , read the specs on an RR and see what ya get.
They sold for around 22,000 back in 89 and when I worked for JCW motorcycles they got one in so I was lucky enough to do the pre delivery

hmmmm makes the RR that was sold up here look like a bargain..... but then again it was a daily rider for about 40 000kms and had been resprayed and aftermarket can etc, so not as original as it looked first up.
    What The...?

Thats the trouble with reality........not everyone participates

I thin kthey only sold for over 20k back in 89 if you purchased the full race kit with it. If the RR hasn't got some extra's it basically just a 89 with limited special bits about it. Race kit included allot of stuff including the dry clutch, cams, rod, gears. List goes on.

The bloke i bought the 86 1100 from know`s the guy that owns it.Karl lets not go into what a 'RR' equates to again [8D] they are special [^] FULL STOP just like the 86`s []
That post is aimed fare & square at me.I am after 1 & buy the way that`s my valuation on said bike [8D] I just don`t have the room now
The RK will go down in history just as the 'R7' will, unobtainable [:I]
I got a mate that had one of the first '86' 11`s & when he heard of mine my phone rang BBQ was had & he just dribbled(not at my food)but the bike.
So if any of you have that coin BUY IT

Who are you Mad One? My post was not aimed at anyone, just telling it like it is. I love the RK, always have always will, but if I were to buy one, it would have to have the full kit for the coin. From memory the RR-RK was around $9000 new. Most Suzuki shops had stock of them for sale and I looked at several in 89 myself with potential to buy but only one shop had the full race kit available which bumped the price up well over my budget. 19k is probably what one is worth these days without the race kit, finding a buyer is a different story and finding one with the race kit is another.

Karl the post ON E-BAY was directed at me,not what YOU posted.Dont get me wrong I too have some knowledge concerning the GSX-R range having owned a few,I also sold a few aswell [)](new ones)
The GSX-R RK was $27,500 new & I believe the kit was another $6 large []
As i stated I am a buyer,I just dont have the room [8D]

No worries, easily mistaken on my part when I read your post. But yea I am not saying I know more about the bike, just stating my opinion on them which is high but somewhat reserved. Seems to be a bit of conjecture about the price when new. I know Northside Suzuki here in Brissy had one for sale for a while and it wasn't 27k but who knows as they are worth what a buyer is prepared to spend. Prices are all over the place at the moment.
