Have you tried Shannons ? They beat all the other quotes I had, and thats with full declaration of all mods to the bike.

hey guys make sure you read the product disclosure statement for these dudes.
there is a paragraph in there that states if you are hit by someone who has no insurance other than ctp, they will pay the maximum claim of $3000 regardless of what your bike is worth.

So basically if you have a spondon, and some 17 year old git who bought a carton of beer instead of insurance cleans you up. THey will give you 3 grand only, not whatever said spondon is insured for.

Just a heads up, that said my retard is with these guys but its only 3rd party fire and theft and insured for 6 so i run the gamble.

that sounds like the sort of thing that they put into modern "third party property" policies like the NRMA one i just got with my ute
which suits me fine cos i only bought it for 3 grand anyways

I am with ebike, was the cheapest insurance by far and even after I got it cheaper than any other place online they rang me straight away to tell me that I had done myself out of some money and lowered my premium more.

i read through their product disclosure and by the sounds of it i think they will only cover or pay out i should say to a max of 4g's f#!kt cos i want to get replacement or full agreed value. think i will be giving shannons a bell tomoz, hope its still a reasonable $ with the previous history and all

Read the fine print coz they sting the arse out of you in xs.
Better to use the major mobs QBE, Swan, Sannons etc

Getting quotes for my sons (18yrs) GSXR600 K6, I'm the registered owner but am electing him as a secondary rider.

QBE : $978 including $4k of riding gear.
Shannons, sorry cant insure under 25yrs
    NRMA : $1280, no gear.

Try Suncorp Metway as well they're normally reasonable but may not be.

I would read it again mate I just checked it and it looked pretty standard to me. The $4000 is for apparel nothing to do with the bike at all. Is English your first language?

Ebike shunned it as well, licence for one year and on a 600 through them, didnt want to know him. QBE got him but wouldnt budge of the first quote, 18 years old and paying for it. I've seen him ride, fair call by QBE I reckon hahhaha.
