I got some time over the weekend to finish getting the motor back together & in the frame. Then I modded the K5 throttle bodies to fit.
It was quite an easy mod, just a couple of 10mm spacers reqd between the center two & they fitted straight into the original rubber manifolds.

Then I started welding up the steam pipe exhaust manifold, it proved to be a bit of a headache because I wanted the turbo to sit as high as possible so I wouldn't need a scavenge pump, but the its a big mutha of a turbo so it took a few go's at tacking it in the right spot.
    Here's the manifold partly finished.

& here it is all finished & fitted.Everything just fits, I was having issues getting the oil filter off when the turbo was fitted then I found that a Honda CBR filter screwed straight on & was about 10mm shorter, Sorted

Nice job on the header, most won't appreciate just what it takes to get those cuts right and how much things move when welding..
    Not much to go Ben

This is the first steam pipe manifold I've done & Im amazed how forgiving it is compared to stainless,it doesn't shrink nearly as much, & as for the extra weight well ...........a bit more weight over the front can't be a bad thing can it.

Ain't that the truth. Then you just got to deal with trying to find traction with all the power you'll be running. Street tyres or slicks Ben?

Nice work as usual Ben. Hopefully see you at SCG sometime.
Why would he want to take it to the Sydney Cricket Ground Shayne?

    Bring on the flames.

    Great work Ben.

I think its 50% less shrinkage mild steel compared to 304 or 316.

Oh & I used Steel Tial 38mm wastegate flanges as header flanges, just had to elongate the mounting holes a bit & they were perfect.
