That's cause bikes that actually go, stop and turn are scary. They can't blame the bike for thier own shit performance.

Thats why I reckon the american chopper scene is so huge. Any wannabe cruiser can go in an buy one - the lack of power and handling isn't going to turn around and bite them.

Still, sliding a $50000 bike down the road cause you too busy checking out your reflection in car windows is a pretty big bite in the arse[]

(I think) the Seppo Chop scene is so big purely for the image. Got all these wannabe part time hard-arses. They can (pretend to) act 'ard as fuck while they're scooting about on their chrome stallions but they walk through the front door at home and turn into a metrosexual faggot in babypink shirts with popped collars and jeans with fucking whiskers on thir pussy's!!!!

They are just older, cashed up, settled down versions of these middle class fuckwit kids trying to play the part of seppo gangstars but in reality are nothing more than little white trash cunts that drug(Some dirty cunt drugged my wife last weekend while she was out with friends) and rape chicks, steal cars and bikes and generally fuck with who ever thay can. Balls like footballs when they have 15 mates behind them rocking with knives and shit but come across one on his own and he'll piss his pants and cross to the other side of the street to avoid eye contact.

    Nonsense rant over

What sort of ballpark figure is someone looking at price wise to come off the street with a swingarm and get it extended like that without paint? is the bracing required due to the extra length and basicly a butt weld or is it a nice to have?

Around $800-$1000 depending on the arm, for anything over about 6" extensions, I'd use a brace because you start getting a bit of leverage at that length so it's nice to have a bit of extra support.
If you look at the photos you'll notice I step the extension so it fit's snugly up inside the arm for extra support.

The gearing is pretty low so only 275, it starts getting hard to hang on at that speed anyway.
