Ok, new question. Am I running red lit starts on this table or not. Shayne's (ABUSA) turned out to be a red light start and so did Tony's best - so what's the go? Also, interesting looking at the chart as Oz's bike has some serious mid range speed when you see how the times are compared to Turbokat.

Booster - did you ride the bike to the meet yesterday or trailer it?

Nice 1 1/2 hr ride along the Waranga basin & nice backroads to get there , couldn't go too hard as my daughter was on the back .

Gix, as far as I know, red lights are not related to E.T.s coz the timing starts when you trip the staging beams off.
If you fall asleep at the lights & your R.T. is 1.00 sec, it doesn't make your E.T. 1 sec slower & I'm pretty sure it's the same if you leave early.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got it wrong.

Fairly sure your right there, Turbokat . only counts as a disadvantage during dial in type competition, at that point you would have given your opponent a 1 sec headstart.

Yea, Abusa confirmed that it's only competition that would be a problem. The timing starts from when you break the beam regardless. I'm including Red light starts by listing them as RL in the recation time. I'm also adding a track time table on request of Deano - I think he fancies his chances at Winton. Let's just hope their aren't too many tracks as this list could get pretty long!

I agree Gix, red lights, break outs and losses don't matter for this board.
It's the times you are cutting that count here and none of the above things affect them.
Booster, what HP are you making on the busa?

Not realy sure at the moment, at one time it was decompressed and intercooled did 300hp at 15psi .But now its stock comp and low boost tuned with a wideband .maybe 250??, don't care all that much for numbers, it has all it needs for the std wheelbase.

Some new numbers for the ASF Braggin' Board.
Deano, Shano & myself took our trackbikes to Megacycle Engineering's Dyno in Keysborough today for some air/fuel & sorting runs before the first official ASF trackday at Winton this Friday.
My '98 ZX9 went 146.8 HP & after going up a few main jet sizes, ran a best of 149.6 HP @ 12,000 (actually 11,987) RPM.
Deano's '94 GSXR 750 ran a couple of mid 90s before a couple of rejetting sessions made for a best run of 97.5 HP @ 185 km/h - a bit lower than we were expecting, but enough to get into trouble.
Shano's '90 ZXR 750 gave us some trouble, the carbs are race spec on a now standard engine & despite having a plethora of different jets to throw at it, & the fact that the whole bike is a bit of an unknown, it ran from 68 HP to a best of 92 HP @ about 10,500 revs. 3 or 4 adjustment sessions (needle height, float level, mainjets) only served to move the power & Lambda readings around in the rev range & the 92 HP peak was at the expense of a LOT of bottom end & midrange which would've made it like a light switch to ride so it's back to the drawing board on that one - starting with a set of stock carbies & a valve clearance check/adjustment. We'll get it sorted by Friday though, no problem.
Sorry Gix, I don't have a scanner & couldn't get a clear pic with my shitty 1 MP camera so can't post the sheets up but Dean & Shane will verify the accuracy of the numbers.

did this Wednesday 9th at wsid, first time ever down a drag strip, i started with a 12.8 and the best time for the night was 12.02, with a reaction time of .110 really wanted to go in the 11s will do it next time as every run i did i got faster.
i found it hard on the buell to get the power on from the lights as it was just wheeling in first & second the bike is std apart from pipe & filter/ecu, its 92 rwhp
good fun for $45
