Howdy. Long time no post... Good to see this site is still rollin..
Anyway.....so much for re- introductions.
I now own a 97 Bandit 1200. Goes great, and after doing the maintenance neglected by the previous owner, it has done a few long runs and I'm fairly happy with its performance. Cutting to the chase, a close mate,[ and confirmed performance nutter] told me I should drill two 2mm holes in the bottom of the slider/diaphram units, next to where the needle drops through. Apparently the indents are already there, and this mod results in far quicker response from the CV 36Mikunis. My question is, has anyone else done this to their carbs?? My mind tells me I would be reducing vacuum, and the result will be the opposite...I don't really need to find more grunt, but if it's that easy to do......
