    Peris from Finland

Hi everbody, My name is Jussi, i am from Finland and i just bought Suzuki bandit 1200 s 2004. Right now is winter hier and temperature is -25 celsius. So its good time to built my bike. I am swapping front end/ fork springs.

What is best choice for that :Tl 1000 s front end? or just change fork springs to better one? I like to keep original clocks and handlebar if its possible. Sorry my english its not good.

    Great forum

    Hey Jussi. Welcome aboard mate.
Finland is home top some great Streetfighters and motorsports! Your shed is going to be pretty cold if it is -25 celsius outside - wow!

I have seen the Bandit front end get changed to a number of upside down fork options, including GSXR, TL and Hayabusa. I would say if you are going to change the complete front end (clamps, stem and everything) then the only consideration is length as you could use any forks. Even then it is possible to use fork extensions if necessary, like the ones Ben makes:

Here is an old post we had but unfortunately the photos have gone thanks to Photobucket closing down:

Words are still there though. See how you go.

Welcome Jussi, Good luck with the bandit. I would think a better front end would use radial brakes like a GSXR 1000 2003+. Guess its what your budget can get you as well.

Ladies and Gentelmen, take my advise. "Pull down your pants and slide on the ice."
