So I found a guy selling a complete set of R1 race fairings which included a race tail and uses the stock seat.
Pick the lot up for $150 today. I plan to use the front 1/2 of the race tail and back 1/2 of the fighter tail to blend them to each other. Just have to decide on pipes, because this will determine the length of the tail end.

Once I decided on the pipes, I will start on the tail end and really get this thing to where I would like it.

So I have ordered my new end cans from the UK, I decided on the Black Widow 230mm stainless steel units.
They are round and have a massive outlet. Best part is they come with a baffle if I decide to be civil.

Soon as they arrive I'll be updating this more often. The end of the cans decide where I'm modding the tail end.

I got to work today after an RDO on Monday and waiting for me what these lovely things!
Now just to start ripping the back end of the bike apart and create some change!

And to anyone looking at mufflers, this guy in the UK is fantastic. Fast shipping and great packing.
This muffler also looks great and should work well with my plans.
Pricing wasn't bad either and for a pair at $472.00 delivered, it was a bargain.

Small set back last night. I discovered that the entry pipe into the stock muffler is not straight. So my plan to cut off the old muffler and slip these on has been thrown a spanner in the works. So I either have to get custom made link pipe or find a company that will supply a set. Oh the joys of a custom bike. Might even do something really crazy if I feel game.

I got some mid-pipes made for this bike by Delkivic on Thursday and Friday night I started to fit the up.
The first result wasn't placed where I wanted these pipes to finish. Pictured below.

So it did a lot of measure and cutting on different spots of the mid pipes because you just cant cut a heap off one end of these things. The result was a bit more to where I wanted it now. still could be tucked under a tiny pit more. Over-all though I took off 75mm out of the length mid-pipe.

I have also done some grilles for the air intake as I wasn't happy with just open frame. I also made a stone guard for the new radiator and now can finally run my ASF rad cap.

I wired up and placed 2 red LED lights just under the headlight glass and wired them into the parker loom.
This Idea was really for shit and giggles, but I dont mind them and they cancel out once the bike is started and the normal headlight is on.

Next on the list is to start working on the actual tail unit itself to give me the finished result I am after. Stay tuned, that will be image heavy.
