Gday from Josho in the ACT

Hey guys. My names Josh I'm in Canberra ACT.

Just stumbled across this little gem of a board. I'm fairly new to bikes, even newer to Streetfighter rigs, but not completely clueless having a background in car mechanics and owned plenty of performance stuff.

What's led me here ? Well not entirely sure. I'm still discovering the world of 2 wheels and which sub culture I fit into. Typically interest has lay with 4 cylinder fully faired Japanese sports bikes. Particularly those in the 90s era.

So sadly my current bike was bumped on its stand and cracked some of the fairings. Having never really done much mechanical work on bikes the itch was there to have tinker and learn along the way. Once all the body work was removed I started looking at some custom stuff and here I am.

So the bike in question is a 1996 Honda RVF 400 RR.

I think I'll spend a few weeks reading maybe asking the odd question and gathering some more knowledge before deciding on a path to pursue.

Look very much forward to the stay

    Josh.

Weasel has just put a vfr4 back together.
    Welcome aboard.
Strip it, smaller seat, louder can, open the air box, and call it done.
I used to have a vfr4 years ago, it pulled to about 210 down the straight at eastern creek, great little motors.
    more titanium than my bike

Thanks wow there's a wealth of info on here certainly one of the better forums joined.
So far leaning in the direction of what hooligan suggested. I found a few pics that gave the inspiration for something not so mass produced looking.

Starting to read and take an interest to RS4s.

Any thoughts on what the end result would be like running headers not merging and individual mufflers per cylinder like pictured ?
