Sorry old pic but you get the idea. Also means i can take the tank off and on to get to plugs etc without removing the pipes as well as sit the tank on a stall along side the bike and still run the motor so actually very usefull.
And, although i didnt think about it at the time its volume probably works like a surge tank, as i have never had fuel level related issues.
And, i like riding it, shit pipes and all.
Ok, another couple of ideas.
What about a Clunk in the tank? Model planes and cars use them. Its like a very flexible pipe fitted to the inside of the fuel tap/Fitting with a wieghted hose barb pickup on the end so it always sits on the bottom of the tank. The weight then follows the G forces the fuel does, so is always in the fuel.
Or, i am sure i have read about a sponge type product, which is quite open structure, which can be cut to the rough shape of a tank, then just crushed up and fed in through the filler, where it springs back to its origional size inside the tank and completely eliminates any fuel movement. Like i say, it was very course in its "holyness" so didnt actually take up much volume or act like a sponge and hold fuel , just eccentually created a million little baffles. Or, i could just be dreaming lol.
Or just dont brake into corners, that will solve the problem easy as lol
I use fuel tan k foam in the race bike, you can get it for the dirt bikes. It is a open structure foam that acts like a baffle. it comes in cubes and you just stuff it into the tank until it is full of foam. works great so far, I usually run the tank to empty or it stutters then add about 3-4 litres for a race/run so it is on empty most of the time and I have no trouble for with it coughing in the race.

By the way what size are the ZX10 injectors? Low or high impedance?
What are the issues with the AE?

It seems to work fine so far, I'm sure it would be a different matter on the track but its only an old clunker and I've thrown enough money at it, so it can get fucked, that's all its getting.
Slingy, KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid. and yes, pipe inside the tank but fuel pipe not copper.
I don't know what the 08 ZX10R injectors flow, Ben (yes that Ben) suggested using them because they had a better spread/atomisation with about 8 spray holes I think, they are also less than half the physical size of the others, which was good (gave me more room) their High impedance which meant I could get rid of a lot of wiring because the old ones were low with resisters.
the AE worked well at low speed, eg traffic, highway speed, but up in the revs 6k+ when you blip the throttle e.g. coming down gears, just a big bog, not what you want coming into a 35k bend at speed, a few lock ups.
I haven't tested it in the hills yet but don't think it fixed the problem, the angle into the bodies are too steep compared to late models, so I think the spray is still hitting the floor and turning to liquid, I'm going to roughen up the ports to see if that helps.
I'm open for suggestions. (as long as it doesn't cost too much)

Like, at what revs do you stop the AE? I think like above about half revs Ae isn't even needed as there is enough intake velocity to match the ve table.
The AE is to add the extra fuel needed when sudden intake pressure changes occur which is really in the first half of the rev range.
What about fuel cut on overrun? Have yof got that enabled and if so what settings?
I really don't think it's gonna be an injector issue. Talk to evad and find out what his Ae settings are to compare. Or ask on the MuS forum.

Slingy, What you say makes perfect sense, I've been under the impression it was a lean bog but I don't remember looking at the
AF gauge to see, too busy trying to stay upright.
Fuel cut on over run is disabled.
The AE down-scaling with RPM was.
Full AE below 8500rpm and Zero above 9500rpm.
So I changed it to 4000 and 5000.
I'll see what difference it makes on the weekend.
Yep that sounds more like it. As you know, I don't have too much experience with AE but from what I have read about it, your new settings sound better. Might be worth throwing the lappy on as well and dataloggoing the events too.
