I really like building stuff. The header will be for my Streeter what has turned out to be a long term build << paper work issues. But that's all cleared up. And on to building a new bike. I have a Stock GS1100 and a Ex-Dragbike that's street legal. It's also a GS1100 based platform, It has a 1225 kit and a old ATP Turbo kit with a SS Carb. The GSXR is going a bit different route, In it's layout. I bought very nice used Kehin carbs I have complete Dyna Ing system, I am going run a frame mount head light off a 81? I think that's year the retangular one. I have already set up the handle bars with risers >> I have a real bad back << can't do sportbikes. I built my own bars new rear set plates mounts Gas Tank is going under the seat, Battery going under tank with all the electrical stuff. I cut 2 1/2 inches out of the tank and welded a flat sheet to the bottom. Then cut a out inside leaving a 2" boarder for strength around in inside to give tank some thing to sit on the frame with. I am going to run the stock 1127.

    Where is the turbo going?
If you can build a header like that you can fit a turbo

Hi Lathe header is 2x2x2 high side pipes . I have already built the megaphones and cone insert. Cones are mild steel inserts are Stainless. Just of a bit of weapeness on the megaphones. My very close friend Tom Sauter passed many years ago . I collected a couple of things from his shop and the cones were some of the bits. I thought I would save them for some special. This bike build is going to be a build from, all I have learned from Tom--Gary Steen and his son Jason and Ron Berganholtz . The Steens had a awesome chassis build shop, and i learned many things about tubing and design plus layout of your build. I thought about a turbo set up but wanted some thing that could sit in traffic with out getting hot.

Hi Lathe As I said I learned a lot about lay out of your project. Building EXH systems was one of are specialties. This system is going to laid out just like a Mile/Half Mile Bike. some run up systems some run down pipes. With the up pipes you use heat blocker cloth or heat wrap with a heat shield over that.
