Cagiva Raptor 650, SV donk, looks cooler, not a POS like the CFMoto, low enough for a short arse, LAMS.

After trying the CFMoto and the hyosung, my short little legs don't touch the ground very well. I'm going to have a look at some other bikes, the VTR250 is on my list to look at.

Buells are by far my favourite bikes. I saw a lightning once when I was younger and it instantly replaced the fireblade as my favourite bike.

Wow, I am such a sheep. I just fell in love with a Ninja 250... I know, I am embarrassed for me as well. I'm going to have a gander at the ninja 300 as it just goes that much better. If I like the 300 more and can bring myself to hold out buying for a small while, I'll get that instead.

I had a little CB400 to play with when the ex missus passed her test. I can tell you now that they are a great bike. I used to scream the crap out of it and it would take anything I gave it. Reliable and fun is an understatement. I believe you are looking for the sound of a twin though, and , especially if you are vertivcally challenged, the SV650 is a winner. Very short and the main reason smaller guys and chicks get them. You'd also have your twin rasp you like as well then. Get a decent can on it and Bingo!

With or without a pipe. Barely hear them without....and,like most 250s, sound silly with them.
Just looks wrong to hear something screaming, and when you see it,its doing the speed limit.
I told my missus that she's not allowed a pipe on her ninja 250!!

I couldn't agree more, they do sound like shit. But I am willing to put up with that while on my learners and P's if I can have a new reliable bike that I don't have to fart ass about with. I'll ride it like I stole it, within the law of coarse and when I sell it I'll get something bigger that sounds a shit load sexier. I did think about the Honda 2013 cbr250R but it does sound like a dirt bike, which I don't like in a road bike and the power vs the 300 just doesn't cut it in my eyes.

Or one of them - they even vaguely look like a proper bike.

Get a 1984-5 GSXR-400. Sounds like a real GSXR, Goes better than a CBR 600, Pulls chics at the local milk bar. What more do you need to establish yourself when your 16. Worked for me... 24 years ago and ive only owned GSXR's since.
