it is to my misfortune there isn't a cent in this for me lol this type work you could never change what its worth
but when im done it will be the first process in the one stop z shop :-)
the coolness will be the frame mods it will allow me to do other than just plain straightening, things like marks
down tube will be a piece of piss and I will know that everything will be square.
in the future I will be doing std frames like the aftermarket racefit ones to be able to run 6 " rears etc
between Jason scott and myself I doubt there will be anyone in aus building z's like us, well that's the long game

that might well be true but who cares when it looks like that on the z lol
still way better than std and can be offset by the carbon rims :-)

progress, I needed a rased plate into the top housing to be used as a datum
measuring point in the frame jig project. I used s/s flat bar so it would never corrode.
Stainless steel bonds beautifully to carbon steel, I only fusioned this joint but if you
ever need filler wire just use s/s filler I normally use 309 but any will do.

I tack welded the plate unto the machined cut while it was still set up in the machine
then machined the new piece flat and square before removing and finishing the weld.

One day I'd like to set up a proper fab table like yours. Would make life a lot easier in the long run with the tapped holes and clamping stuff down to stop things moving while welding.

filling in time, love job for a mates mate. This is a early z frame, they all twisted and moved basically std.
The later frames have some updates to fix the problem. I was asked to gusset while I cleaned up a few things.
First one I have ever tried don't think it looks to bad.....

You would hope so si, the early z1 frames
when you look at them they all have cracked paint at the
two points I have added material. Took kwaka a while
to get their shit together with the frames
