Slowly getting there on the swing arm mounting points on the frame jig build

Time to nail down some measurements, was in two minds over a few details so I called
in the very technical c.a.r.d design process...... Still cant decide on the best balance
of rigidity vs greater flexibility in options.

Tonight is Christmas night, I like a lot of parents this Christmas am apart from my child for whatever reason...
All the best to you this festive season

    BOXING DAY MADNESS
put some time away today to finish the screw cutting on this part of the project, these lock nuts actually took as much thought
as the housing. These assembly's will be mounted horizontal and screw in and out to clamp and hold the bike through the
swing arm pivot, while being able to leave the swing arm in still able to datum to centre line.

Happy festive period to you as well and all this fine metal porn is being well received. I follow a build on YouTube called project binky, and they use CAD design for everthing (Card Aided Design) lol. I am a big fan of CAD as well. Kelloggs makes some good hardware to support this application which is readily available even for free in some cases 😉🎅

binky is without doubt my all time favourite you tube series and has directly influenced my way of thinking lol
the whole project is just hands done the best real world build, funny as fuck while technically being correct
with nothing but basic tools and down right interesting things I have ever followed online

should sent it down to your buddy at Hammond engineering. would have been a 20min job here with a 20mm end mill. :P

Hows the mist coolant? i've considered changing my mill to something like that. either that or a high pressure system, need something with a bit more go about it to evacuate chips from deep pockets.

Trust me mate it was a 50/50 call weather you did these or I did
It came down to cash to be honest, I know you would have done them cheep for me
but I just brought a pan break and 2x sheet metal rollers and after the valve facing machine,
valve seat cutter, engine boring bar, bead blaster and extra tooling the money I put aside
    went south lol

As for the mist tool, I think it's fantastic. hours of machining
for less than a liter of soluble oil. Apparently the air cools better
then the coolent and the oil is just for lude. This unit was under
$200 but I'm not sure if the air flow ( low) is enough for deep pockets.
My gut says preasure but I'd hate to think what that will cost you :-(

cool. As for all the hours etc, like any business, you have to try it first to get the actual amount of time logged and into your head so you know for next time. You'll factor 20 next time instead of 4.
