    '97 TL1000s For Sale

My wife surprised me with one hell of a present and bought me this a few weeks ago:

    http://www.streetfighters.com.au/for...in-buying-this

I am now selling the bike minus a few items and minus a lot of money.

The bike no longer has the headlight, risers, mirrors, damper or front brake lines. Everything else is as I bought it.

    It's got:

    Vandriver CCC
    2010 Busa Front End
    Aprilia RSV tail
    Motogadget mini speedo
    Brembo front master
Custom stainless exhaust system w/ Leo Vance cans
Ducati S2R swingarm (modified to fit), Ducati rear wheel
Driven quick change alloy rear sprocket
    Brand new power commander
    Brand new Pilot 3 tyres
    Rego til December
    Powdercoated frame
    Hel Braided rear brake lines
    New cables (clutch/throttle)

    The bad:

The swingarm/shock set up does not work. I have bought several shocks and linkages and also sent the bike to Terry Hayes at Shock Treatment and to Trooper Lu's in an attempt to get it fixed. Also, sections of the frame and swingarm were ground out to try and give the shock more clearance.
It can be sorted but I was told with a 310nm spring in it it will be useless for hard riding/track days etc.
With enough money it can be fixed but I wasn't prepared to wear thousands of dollars in repairs on top of the cost of the bike.

The pipe work is atrocious and is probably just worth binning and starting again:

The subframe will need some new bracketry as the angles are all out:

It will need a new top clamp as it has been drilled out for the risers but their not straight:

The tank leaks (looks like a seal underneath where the fuel sensor goes in) and needs some work:

I am hoping for 3K which gives the buyer a couple of grand to sort out and has a useable bike with some choice parts on it.

If I get no interest I will probably just part it out. That will be an absolute last resort because I am sick of looking at it and just want it gone.

    Sorry fellas,
Bike was sold at a price worthy of its condition. Shame that didn't happen last time.
