Unhappy For Sale: Suzuki GS(GSX?)750 cafe racer

I delayed it and delayed it, hoping I could find a way to keep it, but my medical expenses are piling up, so I need to sell my last bike and hang up the helmet for good.

Rego calls it a GS750 but this thread (clicky) reckons it's an '82 GSX750. Either way, Luke (LKC) tore it apart for me and built me a nice little(ish) cafe racer. Prob is, while it was being built, my medical condition deteriorated more, and I now can't ride at all... so I've never even ridden the thing.

It has sat in my garage for months now as I decided what to do, but medical bills has dictated that it needs to go.

It has just run out of rego a few days ago, but needs nothing to pass other than some mirrors (the mounts are still there to screw some generic ones on).

According to Luke who built it then rode it to my place, it runs like a dream. Only small issue is the front brakes seem to jam/stick on, so needs some tweaking there.

It has been sitting in garage for a fair while now, so battery is dead, but if you're keen, we can push-start it for a test ride.

All it needs to be 'perfect' IMHO is different exhausts and some better rear shocks (they work fine, just old).

    Some of the mods:

    - Jason (Luke's brother) did the paint, looks bloody amazing in person and even better in the sun. Black with metallic red stripes. Even did the Suzuki badges to match.
    - LKC chopped the rear off, built a subframe with brackets for the lights, then sliced and widened an off-shelf cafe tail and moulded the tail light surround into it.
    - Clubman bars
    - LKC-made dash supports and retro-style speedo with built in idiot lights.
    - Mini indicators and super-awesome "STOP" tail light.
    - Seat made by Kev, 'nuff said! The man does wonders.

It has cost me about $5k total, so I'd really like to get $3500 for it as-is. Price is negotiable for ASFers though as I'd really like to know it went somewhere that will appreciate Lukes/Jasons/Kevs work.

Breaks my heart to see a brother have to sell something that gives so much joy to pay for medication to fight something that destroys joy.
If someone more organised than me were to start a "Quick, medicate Sen" fund, I for one would chuck in so you can keep hold of this bike.
    Oblivious !!

That is such a shame that this bike has to go Sen. If I had the coin I would buy it from you.

    Thanks guys.

OLD SKOOL: Regrettably the main problem here is I physically can't ride it. My leg/hip has gotten to the point where I can't sit upright (on chairs, bikes, anything), so even without medical costs it'd be wasted on me, and I'd love it to get appreciated by someone who can ride it.

The medical costs is just the icing on the cake. Medicare pays for heaps but the 'gaps' are fucked up. An MRI (which I need to get every 3 months) has a $1000 gap. Medication and pills can be another $50/week, specialists are another $80-100 per visit (sometimes 2 a week), etc etc. I love that we have medicare, but it's not a "everything is free" thing, it just helps cover some of it.
