She is my every day ride, heaps of mods to come, next one on the cards is to replace the sub frame with either a GSXR or R1 tail, tomorrow I plan on doing a lot of stripping and polishing maybe even a little paint. I have left the nose cone on and just changed the look by trimming it with my handy grinder. Probaly will replace her eventually but don't want to mess with the air intake into the air box until I do some more research, I do about 80Km a day so can't afford to have her running rough.

Just picked up a K1 GSXR 1000 tail, I know what you mean about the nose cone, honestly its going to go and a custom head light configuration of some sort will replace it. Just want to make sure I don't bugger up the air induction in to the air box. Don't want the bike to just look pretty she's got to perform as well.

    Hey Mark,
thanks for the feed back, yeah it seems a lot of guys like yourself have no problems ripping the air induction off and then others say they lose all top end power, and it starts to run like shit on open roads. They're definately coming off just going to make sure I do it when I have time to sort any air in take problems if they pop up.

Went out yesterday to see Ben from Extreme Creations and he did an excellent job modifying the Gixxer tail for the ninja. But didn't stop there took one look at the undertray and said we can make that fit and started cutting grinding and relocating all the michelaneous parts so they were hidden away.

Made it home... was a little worried for a while, no blinkers, dodgy tail light, loud pipe and riding home in peak Manly Traffic. But ended well.

Even though it was pissing down, couldn't wait to go for a ride as soon as I got the cowl on.

I have to say I had planned to take the next month to have the rear tail completed to its current level. Due to the excellent work done by Ben I got it finished in time to ride to work tomorrow. (The Ninja is my only form of transport). Thanks mate I really appreciate your effort yesterday.

    Thanks mate,
Yeah got out bid on an XR600 head light last night as I was tinkering on the bike. Thought I had it in the bag. Not to worry.

As the owner of an XR 600 I'd advise against using one of those lights on a roadbike unless you never ride at night - a candle strapped to the front guard would do a better job [V]

those welds make my bike look much more compliant, and the remote shock reservoir is much better inverted and mounted internally to the lower subframe so it can actually be adjusted during set up.Anyhow...stay focussed grasshopper, you have much to achieve.
    love from
