i ment if only members are allowed to go to NFR 2013 im not going !!

i do look forward to seeing ASF members but come on ! how else are we to get fresh members a lot o blokes look forward to riding with fellow mates but its also refeshing to ride and meet new people aswell !!

ive never riden with rod 185651 and as far as i know he may ride like crap ? "sorry rod a points a point " he may think i ride like shit ?? unless we all are profesional riders then no one is safe !!

i ve three mates with the folloing bikes
1 x full house sv1000 " doug will leave most for dead " and lives and breaths bikes like us , but dont use internet much!
1x TLR1000 matt rides like a devil and same as doug
1x APRILLA RSV 1000 duncan not as flash on bike but higher and better rider than me !
all 3 x mates live breath and ride and were asking about NFR 2013 and and were going to plan to ride along to see what we r all about !!

and dan "cruise control " never even meet him , dont know if he has gone on a ride ?? but even thou he comes across as a tosser/keyboard warrior i still would like to meet him !!"

quite a few members wont be going boxer may not be going , si ?? would be nice to meet him .

im not complaining not wingeing , but wats the point going if i cant meet new people and have a shit load of fun doing it .

Yes I have done several NFRs and loved them all, but I must say that certain people's attendance didn't inspire me to make the effort and come along...

If you have been a member since 2007, and have only been on 2 rides, then maybe you should organise a few yourself eh?
Why would you become a member of a site you know nothing about? If you have told your mates about the ASF rides you have been on, the bikes you have seen built, or the weird porn you have seen through the site, then they already know something about it, don't they?

You seem to be reading and typing a lot Albi, but not comprehending much.
You ask about how we get new members, we have a solution, if you want to go to NFR, sign up and contribute to the forum.
the more people post on the forum, the more you get to know people; personalities come out when people write.
If you'd like to ride with these 3 guys, get them to sign up and join in. Or organise your own ride. Rod didn't like the way afr was heading, so instead of pissing and moaning, he organised a new event.
Not every ride organised through ASF is and annual event, but some, like this, are. this happens once a year, and we are bringing it back to the start, and keeping it ASF only.
And it seems to me that you are complaining and whinging.

my 2c is that it shouldn't be members only, it's not like there was a massive number of ring-ins last year.

My old man was going to come this year but i guess not now. he rides a buell xb12ss and seldom uses the internet (mum set up a facebook account for him about a year ago and i think he's been on there twice, he even gets her to order parts for his bikes rather than do it himself)

I understand the reasoning behind the decision, but i also see albi's point about showing people the RL side of ASF to entice them into the internet side.

Nah, I don"t care what membership people have, if they are a part of the ASF community they are welcome.

when you wrote members only is it paid up ?? or just keyboard warrior member ie: non-paid??
because if you guys are telling me it has to be paid member then the ride is just a front to boost monies etc!!

i just wish the AFR show like the ol days was still a goer ! but alas its not .

and yes i have tried to organise newy rides but unless ur a dole bludger whom dont work then most up here in the hunter either have family n kids etc , work weekends or it is just to busy to all ride ,

last year i i organised the bbq at maitland park so we ASF mob can get together some came some didnt !!
my wife and kids had a great time as it was just ASF memebers , so yes i do get the ASF members only just dont tell me it has to be fucking paid up members !!
