I was one of the people who was a part of the discussions
We dreamed up that we had the authority as we step up and organise this ride every year.
It's only June, and already people are complaining.
I personally don't need the drama every year.
good luck organising it
The whole idea of a 'members only' arrangement for this years NFR was actually mentioned at AFR earlier this year.....
Mentioning it at AFR hardly makes it official or anything.
I get that all three of you guys have Stepped up and organised an NFR each the last 3 years and for that we are all thankful but we don't really have a ruling hand on the whole thing. If someone wants to bring a friend why not? Its not like anyone can stop them or maintain the strictness on the issue. Its just another room to the pub and more alcohol comsumption so they won't care, and more people to chat BS to.
We barely get 30 odd blokes go and over the years I've met some great plus 1's who weren't members, there is not really an issue on overcrowding or too many on a ride so thats no excuse. We don't really all know each other because we are on a forum anyway, unless we have met prior we are all strangers and nearly every year different faces are meeting each other and riding together.
This is just my 2 cents really I thought it was strange that we have a 'strict ruling' when this was not necessary on years and events gone by, we all met, ate, chatted and rode together with no issues. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
well i started the NFR 2013 thread and im not a moderator ??
so id assum someone else did??
well i wasnt at AFR 2013 so i dont know wat was said about mates comming along !
if ASF was paying for pub rooms etc then so be it ASF members only!!
but the site is not !!
as todd put it more the merryer and more money for the pub !
tag alongs dont need to be part of the dinner on sat night
but unless we get and treat new possible members along and they have fun then they might join.
now this is my two cents worth " qoute un qoute "
if we as a group of fun loving bike nutters can not ride and party together with others whom are not members and wish to ride with and spread the word of how much fun and the lifestyle we ASF members have when we get toghter then quite frankly fucked if im going "end qoute"!

well this turned into a shitfight kinda quick, didn't it?
Gitz, i was also one of the people who deemed themselves in charge, because, like it or not, Numbers, Weasel and myself have organised them all.
When you organise things via a very large committee, nothing gets done, everyone wants to be heard, everyone's opinion is more important than everyone elses.
So the three of us got all called each other and had a chat to see how we'd do it this year.
You can all bring a friend if you want to. Just get them to sign up and be an active part of the forum first. As i mentioned in a previous post, it's not that fucking hard to make up a stupid internet name and join in.
No the pub won't care if more people come down, but it will be Numbers, Weasel and me sorting it out if something hits the fan because we organised it. So if we will have to deal with any shit that happens, then we need to get some say in how it runs.
If people want to come, they can sign up first. Rather than just turn up for a ride once a year, maybe they can contribute to the forum and help it grow, too. I had a mate come down on a fully faired busa one year, then last year it had been fightered. He's on the facebook page apparently, but not on the forum. If he wants to come this year, he can sign up here first.

Albi, we're not taking our bat and ball and going, but someone needs to be the fucking umpire.
We are trying to get new members, if you want to come on NFR, then sign up and be a new member! Why is that such a big issue?
Regarding your 2 cents, we can ride with people who aren't members of ASF. I have loved the riding at every NFR, whether it was with people from the internet or not.
But last year, with every bike being a fighter was something special.
An Aussie Streetfighters event that is for Streetfighter riders and members of the forum only? What a novel concept.

FFS it July and your complaining already.
I don't know why the first post was Locked out either btw.
And yeah it's members only because we decided to run it that way. It was members only on the first one remember.
And dan dont start with the Harley club shit for the love of god.
And ride whatever the fuck you like. We are not going to sit here and argue terms like a pack of bitches.
Or we can shitcan the whole thing because shit like this makes it fuckin hard.
It's Rods ride. Always has been. We want to keep it ASF to keep it personal that was decided between rod myself and hooligan.
Don't like it then run it yourself instead of finding fault in the things you never organised.
On a side note, I was thinking bout taking the TL but I think I'll be overdressed, I maybe just maybe be the proud owner of a ZRX1200 by then so I'll be one of them Kwikasfaki Homos.
Thanks gitz.
We didn't call to talk to you first cos we were worried you would make a rule about no beer or something...

As you can see by the the link above, we have done more than just stepped up toorganise the ride in the last three years.
The original idea was for the NFR to be an alternative to the then AFR whichwas being held at Casino as a 1/4 mile show and shine event.
The original idea was for members to catch up face to face instead of behind akeyboard. Mates who came along were encouraged to join the forum and become apart of the Aussie street fighter community. (Similar to the original AFRconcept.)
Every year the NFR is mentioned it leads to winging and complaining aboutdecisions we make, and as I said before I am over all the drama and I am sureweasel and hooligan is also. Instead of posting complaints step and have a go.
Think it's fair enough to make these events members only, why put all the effort in to organizing the weekend if the people planning on coming don't contribute anything to the group? I'm not really seeing the problem here.. no one's saying you can't bring ya mates, or you have to ride a fighter - just get them to log on and say hi first.
Lol, Chris I wouldn't do that to you lads, that'd be like banning Large from the bakery.
I personally couldn't run a chook raffle guys, keep up the bang up job your doing. I seriously can't see how anyone could argue with the logic presented in the last few posts.
i agree with the members only thing, if you cant be fucked taking 2minutes out of your life then dont bother
was just suprised at the lock-out, when to go put my hand up and all of a sudden i couldnt
anyways, im happy to help in any way possible
Rev the fucker!!!!!
and a top job at organising it has been well done for that .
and no not all bikes were fighters
1x ducati stock!
1x tlr1000 in tuppawere ??
but thats not the point
if you meet a chick and want to marry her you test ride a while ??
were are not a silly harley patch club .
you dont buy a new car without test driving
so why would you become a member of a site you know nothing about ? or the people you would ride with ??
since ive been a member 2007 ive seen only 2 main rides AFR and NFR how is anyone supposed to ride with like minded hoons "ahem "fellow riders and decied yup this shit is fer real , weres the hammer and hacksaw !!
